Programming

  • What’s new this year?

This year, we have added a full slate of hands-on workshops to our program. Workshops are limited attendance (maximum of 150 people per session) and will occur for all registration types on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The NBMBAA Leadership Institute®, our 1-day, pre-Conference education event takes on a new format this year, with three tracks, one for young professionals, one for professionals and one for more experienced professionals. This takes place Wednesday, September 13 during the day and is available via separate ticket for an additional fee only. This year’s Institute has a limit of 300 total attendees – 100 people per track.

Also, our 1-day NBMBAA® Entrepreneurial Institute (EI), will take place Friday, September 15. That 1-day registration for Friday only includes the EI, the Scale-Up Pitch Challenge luncheon and a special reception. However, Premium and Standard Pass holders can also access the Institute content during the day Friday as part of their regular registrations.

We encourage you to register early to take advantage of programs with limited attendance. Once full, your access is not guaranteed. you will be able to apply to a wait-list for these programs only.

  • How do I get access to special or exclusive invite sessions?

Exclusive sessions are frequently available for NBMBAA members based on career level. Ensure your membership and profile are up-to-date for these invitations.

  • Are there any Pre-Conference courses this year?

    No.

  • How does the Wait-List work?

If you decide to add a session for which you are wait listed, you will be placed on the list in the order your request is received. But watch your email, because if a slot opens up you will receive an invitation to accept that space, but it will only be available for 24 hours. Once your invitation period has lapsed, it will be offered to the next person on the list. You will have to add yourself back to the wait list for that event in order to be eligible for another opening.

Career Expo

  • How can I see who will be attending the Career Expo?

    Visit our online floorplan.

  • Is there a virtual Career Expo this year?

No, the fall Conference will have an in-person option only.

  • How do I get an interview?

Corporate Partners will post job and pre-screen résumés for interviews this summer. Your best chance for interviews is to make sure your information is up to date when companies begin searching.

Visit  the NBMBAA Job Board as soon as you register or follow the link on your registration confirmation to visit the NBMBAA Career Success Network® job board, upload your current résumé, apply for current jobs and contact employers. Conference Job Match opens July 5, so don’t delay.

  • Do I have to post my résumé in advance?

No, but we highly recommend you post it as soon as possible if you are job seeking. Recruiters will be looking at candidates all summer. The later you post a résumé, the less likely it is you’ll be able to pre-schedule interviews.

  • What if I don’t post my résumé in advance?

Without posting your résumé, employers will not be able to find you to offer pre-scheduled interviews. You will still be able to upload your résumé for consideration closer to the event, but you will not have interviews set up in advance and will have to rely on whatever chats/interviews you can secure on the fly during the event days.  We highly recommend posting your résumé or curriculum vitae as soon as possible.

Covid-19

  • What is NBMBAA® doing to ensure the safety of attendees and exhibitors attending the 45th Annual Conference & Exposition?

Our top priority is the health and safety of all our attendees, exhibitors, vendors, and staff. As COVID moves from pandemic to endemic, we will eliminate our vaccination check requirement; however, still do encourage any attending our events to ensure they are fully vaccinated, with the appropriate boosters. And we always welcome the wearing of face masks, though they are not required. Should local guidance on this change prior to the event, will provide updated information on requirements.

  • Do I have to be vaccinated to attend?

No, but highly recommend that if you do not have a health restriction that would preclude you from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, that you ensure you are fully vaccinated with the appropriate boosters before traveling to the conference event. This will give you the highest level of protection and protect those who cannot get vaccinated.
